UPDATE

Hello All,

Some of you have contacted me recently concerning rumors that St. John's has been sold. I checked with Father Byron at St. Pascal's today and he said all those stories are false. The real estate agents are continuing to show the property to various groups but no offers have been made.

In other news:

Any day now the west (parking lot) side confessional will be going to St. Matthew's Church in St. Paul at their request. It took some work but they finally figured out how to disassemble it for moving without damaging the wood.

St. Pascal's is in the process of putting together a parish directory and plan to include photos of the St. John's stained glass windows.

At Transfiguration, the refurbishing of the St. John's Stations of the Cross will begin soon now that Lent is over.

There have been more police training exercises in the St. John's school building.

That's it for now. I hope you all had a good Easter.

As I write this I'm watching snow fall outside my window. Think Spring!

Owing to this lousy weather, I’ve had plenty of time to pore over Greg’s latest update. Thank you, Greg, for continuing to keep us abreast of the latest St. John’s news. And thanks to the rest of you who’ve chimed in on these group emails to let us know how you’re getting on with the business of putting down roots in a new parish. It’s often a sad business, we know. But it must be done!

It just tickles me to think that our oh-so-traditional confessional has found a new home at St. Matthew’s of all places!

n case you aren’t aware, several of the St. John’s choir members are now regulars in the 8:30 parish choir at St. Agnes. I know Ron and Mary continue to do good work at Holy Trinity, where several of our St. Johnnies (as Duane and I call them) are now hanging their hats. That’s where you and Rossinis are, right, Chuck? (Chuck: Yes )

Hope you’ve all stayed dry and warm during this dreary, rainy spell. Pass along your news, okay?
